Tracy Hobson joined CAE as Executive Director in September 2005, bringing both corporate and nonprofit experience to this role. In 2009 Ms. Hobson received a commendation from the Brooklyn Borough President in honor of Pride Month, for her leadership of CAE and the organization’s vital role in Brooklyn’s vast LGBT community; and she was also honored by LAMBDA Independent Democrats for contributions to Brooklyn’s LGBT community.
Before joining CAE as Executive Director, Ms. Hobson spent seven years at Credit Suisse, a global financial firm based in New York City. As Assistant Vice President within Diversity & Inclusion, Ms. Hobson created Credit’s Suisse’s Employee Networks: for women, people of color, working parents, and LGBT individuals. Other key accomplishments include adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the nondiscrimination policy, and providing domestic partner benefits to all employees globally. Ms. Hobson began her career at Catalyst, a nonprofit organization that researches trends relating to women in the workforce.
Ms. Hobson served as Co-chair of CAE’s Board of Directors in 2004, and has trained as a student for eight years. As a student she was a strong volunteer fundraiser for CAE, and helped leverage crucial links to corporate funding.
Ms. Hobson is a graduate of Smith College. In 2008, she completed the Middle Management Program at Columbia Business School’s Institute for Not-For-Profit Management.
